I know that I am not going to be competing in any official CrossFit competitions any time soon but even so I felt I had to add my names to the hoards of athletes who are going to participate in The Open. Why? Well, why not? I figure at the very least it will help me see where I stack up against other athletes at this point in time and it will give me a goal for next year. I can repeat the workout from this year just prior to next years and then see just how far I have come. It will also make me feel like I am kinda, sorta involved in the games process.
I have my work cut out for me though because I am not really ready to compete. I have been out of the game for about 2.5 weeks with a hurt ankle. I sprained it doing box jumps (of course) and unlike last time it just doesn’t seem to want to heal. Watch the official workout include lots of box jumps. Ha!
